New Projects: Trash to Treasure

Hi all!

It has been way too long since my last post. I wanted to let you all know I am well and happy! I have been using all my free time with my new love: trash picking and turning it into treasures! I have been lucky enough to find some amazing pieces of furniture sitting at the curb in my neighborhood.

Buuuut since my time has been spent with my new venture, that has out sewing on the back burner. Have no fear though, there are some new sewing projects coming soon!

My 1st trash to treasure project I would love to share is this beautiful bench glider.

I got this beauty from a neighbor that was moving. The green cushions I already had, which match my blue and green decor on my deck!

This poor bench glider was left out in the elements which meant I had a lot of sanding to do to get rid of splintery wood and rust. Lots of elbow grease, but I was up for the challenge!

7 cans of Rustoleum spray paint in Sail Blue later…

This beauty is complete with the green cushions! It’s my favorite place to sit on the deck and now it matches all my other furniture!

Happy crafting, sewing or upscaling!
