Christmas Apron

Hello Readers!

For Thanksgiving I had refashioned an apron I had bought at the $1 store. Now for Christmas I did the same thing! I was happy to find that these $1 store aprons came in a few different colors- red (for Christmas) being one of them!

This apron needs some help!

DSCN1410I picked out this embroidery pattern from embroidery designs for free!

DSCN1409I set up my tear away stabilizer and apron in my 4×4 embroidery hoop.

DSCN1413The one down side of these $1 store aprons is the length of the neck strings- too long!

I decided to replace the existing strings with Christmas plaid ribbon. I sewed one end to the apron and then made a loop at the other end so I could attach the neck string to a button on the apron.DSCN1414

I also sewed the Christmas ribbon to the side apron strings.

Lastly, I sewed on this beautiful gold button to attach the neck string to.
