I just can’t have enough shirt dresses! Every time I see one while I’m not thrifting I just have to have it!
Here we have a beautifully simple plaid shirt dress. As always the dress was too long and so were the sleeves.
Remember my post on tea dying? I used tea bags to make this white lace trim into an off white. I thought that a bright white trim would look too new when added to the dress. I was going for a more vintage look.
Next I worked on snugging up the bodice of the dress.
I took the side seams as well as the existing front darts.

Hi there! Welcome to my little blog! My name is Marisa, phonetically that’s Marie-sa! My goal is to change the way you look at outdated clothes by making you think outside the stitch!
I am a dental hygienist by trade but that leaves me longing to show my creative side and having something more fashionable to wear than scrubs!
I have always been interested in fashion and for years I have been dabbling in creating my own clothes. Now is the time to seriously get into refashioning and encourage you to do the same!
I hope this little blog of mine inspires you not to pass up those oversized unsightly pieces of clothing but to transform them into something beautiful!
Happy Refashioning!
