Happy Easter!!!
This year was a quiet Easter spent at home with the hubby. Just because we were having a quiet Easter dinner for two, doesn’t mean I was going to stay home in my jammies! I still needed an appropriate Easter Dress!
Just 3 days before Easter I came across this beautiful lavender dress. What a perfect color for an Easter dress!
I love the white lace on the collar!
I began by removing the sleeves! (Would you believe that this dress did not have shoulder pads!?)
With the left over sleeve material I made 2 pockets and trimmed the top with white lace trim. (to accent the trim on the collar)
Next step was to make the dress more fitted. I took in the sides by about 1 1/2 inches.
I finished the arm holes with a rolled hem.
I decided make the dress into a high/low dress (or as the Hubby refers to it as a mullet dress) I marked how short I wanted to make the dress in the front and cut a rounded piece from the dress. Finished that with a rolled hem as well.
Lastly, I sewed on the pockets I made!
Simple little ham dinner for 2 🙂
Our little Easter Bunny all tuckered out after delivering all those Easter baskets lol
Happy Refashioning!!!
Very cute. I’m going to copy your hubby and start calling all my high/low hems “mullets” too 🙂

Really nice! I don’t really like pockets but the rest of the dress is very cool! Good idea! 😀
