Easter Dress Refash

Happy Easter!!!

This year was a quiet Easter spent at home with the hubby. Just because we were having a quiet Easter dinner for two, doesn’t mean I was going to stay home in my jammies! I still needed an appropriate Easter Dress!

Just 3 days before Easter I came across this beautiful lavender dress. What a perfect color for an Easter dress!

DSCN1237I love the white lace on the collar!

DSCN1239I began by removing the sleeves! (Would you believe that this dress did not have shoulder pads!?)

DSCN1241With the left over sleeve material I made 2 pockets and trimmed the top with white lace trim. (to accent the trim on the collar)

DSCN1246Next step was to make the dress more fitted. I took in the sides by about 1 1/2 inches.

DSCN1247I finished the arm holes with a rolled hem.

DSCN1248I decided make the dress into a high/low dress (or as the Hubby refers to it as a mullet dress) I marked how short I wanted to make the dress in the front and cut a rounded piece from the dress. Finished that with a rolled hem as well.

DSCN1249Lastly, I sewed on the pockets I made!

Simple little ham dinner for 2 🙂

Our little Easter Bunny all tuckered out after delivering all those Easter baskets lol
