Hello Readers! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Today I have for you a tutorial on how to make a fleece tie blanket! It’s a no-sew!On black Friday I purchased fleece for 50% off! What a deal!
For a nicely sized blanket I started with 2 1/2 yards of a patterned fleece (My inner child chose the My Little Pony print) and 2 1/2 yards of a solid color (pink).
Lay the fleece on top of each other. Smooth out any wrinkles.
I trimmed off the edges of the fleece. Here the print fleece had words on the edges and that would make for an ugly blanket.
After all the ugly edges are trimmed cut 4×4 inch squares out of each of the corners.
It is best to use a rotary cutter and cutting mat with measurements.
After the corners are cut it is time to cut the sides. Use your rotary cutter to cut 1×1 inch strips. I like to fold back every other strip. It makes it easier to keep track of them when you start typing them together. (My roomie gave me this super helpful tip)
Tie together ()the patterned fleece strip to the solid fleece strip.
SO CuTe!! Love + Love! 🙂
