I started my work week with a bang! The office I work at got tickets to the 2nd to last home baseball game for the Detroit Tigers! Wait…it gets even better….we got VIP suite tickets!!!
I originally wanted to turn this…
into a cute dress, but it got complicated. I had to switch my plans into making a skirt using the bottom half of this shirt.
Sewing the casing for the elastic waistband.
I threaded the elastic through and stitched up the hole!
Now this would be way to short as is so luckily JoAnn Fabrics has Tigers fabric on sale! I cut an 8 inch piece that I folded over to make a nice bottom for my skirt.
Pinned the fabric and sewed it to my skirt.
Then I finished it off with some navy bias tape!
I cut out 3 circles from the scraps to make a decorative flover. I cut the edges into flower petals and sewed it all together with a button!
Then I hot glued it to a jelwery pin.
I was lucky enough that my roomie gave me this awesome Tigers tank top to wear with my new skirt!!! I had to pair my new outfit with some leggins and an orange sweater because the weather was supposed to get down in the low 50s, pretty cold to watch a baseball game.
Round 1 of food!
Round 2: desert! Yumm!!
We played the White Sox and lost 3 to 2, but it was still an exciting game!
We had a good view of the fountain sponsored by Chevrolet that would spout off everytime the music played!
I had such a great night cheering on our Tigers in my new Tigers outfit!!! Can’t wait until next season to wear it again!
Cute outfit! The top half of the T shirt would make a nice pillow. Is there going to be a Lions outfit?
