I found a very cute knit dress awhile back at my local Salvation Army that made me think of vintage cheerleader uniforms. So I got to thinking that maybe adding a little detail like a letter would be pretty neat!
I found an iron on letter at the fabric store. Which is easy to put on. Buuut the letter was bright white and it stuck out like a sore thumb! So next best thing is to get out some good old fabric paint and paint it!
Painting!

Finished product! Now it doesn’t stick out and it looks like it belongs! Give me a G! G!

I think it has a awesome 50’s vibe!

Hi there! Welcome to my little blog! My name is Marisa, phonetically that’s Marie-sa! My goal is to change the way you look at outdated clothes by making you think outside the stitch!
I am a dental hygienist by trade but that leaves me longing to show my creative side and having something more fashionable to wear than scrubs!
I have always been interested in fashion and for years I have been dabbling in creating my own clothes. Now is the time to seriously get into refashioning and encourage you to do the same!
I hope this little blog of mine inspires you not to pass up those oversized unsightly pieces of clothing but to transform them into something beautiful!
Happy Refashioning!

Much better! And really creative. “No Sews” are nice every once in a while 🙂
