Look at this gem of a dress!!!

Okay so she might be a bit dated…but I love love love these stripes!
So, I began by taking the bottom part off (to be used as a sash later!) and hemming the dress.

Hard at work!
Buh-bye sleeves! I finished each armhole by folding the fabric under and sewing it in place. Next, I pinned and sewed the front into a V-neck! Last but not least, I took the fabric from the bottom of the dress and sewed it into a sash and then added a fashionable button!

The husband thought I looked so pretty in my new refashion he took me out!

mmmMargarita!

Hi there! Welcome to my little blog! My name is Marisa, phonetically that’s Marie-sa! My goal is to change the way you look at outdated clothes by making you think outside the stitch!
I am a dental hygienist by trade but that leaves me longing to show my creative side and having something more fashionable to wear than scrubs!
I have always been interested in fashion and for years I have been dabbling in creating my own clothes. Now is the time to seriously get into refashioning and encourage you to do the same!
I hope this little blog of mine inspires you not to pass up those oversized unsightly pieces of clothing but to transform them into something beautiful!
Happy Refashioning!

Thank you! Don’t you just hate seeing a refash that you’d love to have yourself, but will probably never find! Drives me nuts!
