Again, I had bought this dress thinking I would make it a peplum top but once again I loved it too much as a dress. I swear I will refashion something into a top one of these days!
I thought I wanted this…

I couldn’t let go of this….
I began by shortening the sleeves. It may be 20 degrees outside but I wouldn’t be caught dead in those sleeves!
I shortened the would be peplum part into a nice 1 inch ruffle. Then I shortened the length and hemmed the bottom.
I was so happy with this adorable dress I wore it to my belated Birthday dinner with my parents!
Mmm Union Woodshop in Clarkston, best BBQ in the North(well I think so anyway)
Happy Refashioning!

Hi there! Welcome to my little blog! My name is Marisa, phonetically that’s Marie-sa! My goal is to change the way you look at outdated clothes by making you think outside the stitch!
I am a dental hygienist by trade but that leaves me longing to show my creative side and having something more fashionable to wear than scrubs!
I have always been interested in fashion and for years I have been dabbling in creating my own clothes. Now is the time to seriously get into refashioning and encourage you to do the same!
I hope this little blog of mine inspires you not to pass up those oversized unsightly pieces of clothing but to transform them into something beautiful!
Happy Refashioning!
