Game Day Dress

I have been reading a lot of tutorials for making a sports team shirt into a dress, but as always I’m waiting on that perfect occasion.

Whelp! My wait is now over!

Myself, the husband and some friends had tickets to see the Detroit Pistons vs. Chicago Bulls.

First I measured the width of the dress…Then I cut…

I wanted to add white inserts into each side of my dress so I harvested material from another shirt.I sewed the materials together with a zig-zag stitch. Zig-Zag… I harvested more material for adding length to the bottom. I even sewed a sash to make it more fitted in the waist!
